In the Museum of Adolfas Ramanauskas-Vanagas Gymnasium, visitors can familiarize themselves with the history of Alytus Gymnasium No. 1 and Teachers’ Seminary, get to know more about the Movement of South Lithuania Partisans and Normandy-Nemunas escadrille. The exposition devoted to military topics is the most abundant. Different items, such as personal objects of fighters, letters, documents, photographs and weapons, tell the visitors stories about difficult, yet hopeful, times. There are exhibits related to the old times of the Teachers’ Seminary and Old Gymnasium as well; among them, one can explore photographs, memories, class registers, documents confirming education gained and even textbooks.
Another Museum, the Centre for Information on Sports, is operating at the Gymnasium as well. Its exhibits are devoted to the history of the world’s and Lithuania’s Olympic Movement. Some exhibits are collected to tell the story of Gymnasium athletes from the very beginning of sports activity here until these days.
