The cross, standing near the church, was cast from concrete in 1934. It was ceremoniously consecrated by priest AV Želnia. The monument was designed and the works were managed by brothers V. and J. Jarmalas, with the help of other parishioners. During the Soviet era, the cross was not demolished, the people of the town repaired it a little by themselves. Since the cross has been repainted several times, it was only after polychrome studies that the stages of its painting and decoration, colour solutions, and development became clear. in 2011 the cross was restored.
