Folk artist Julija Baranauskienė's museum in the House was founded in 1960 and operated until 1981, until the folk artist's death.
Since 2007 the museum has operated at Rotuses Sq. 12, Alytus. The museum exhibits more than 500 different works of clay. There you can see busts, bas-reliefs, masks, ceramic plates, lights, whistles, ceramic ornaments and floral images created by Mrs. J. Baranauskienė. Many works of foundress tell an uneasy life. There are plenty of ethnographic sculptures. The devil's collection swanks here, over 150 units.
Annually festivals, and performances are organised, works of folk art are on display, performing of various bands at the yard of the museum. A visit to the museum should be coordinated in advance.
