1922-09-01 J. Bloznelis was appointed to the village of Ucieka, which is located near the demarcation line. head of the established elementary school. The Polish border guards did not like the establishment of the school. Teacher J. Bloznelis with students in 1923. was preparing to celebrate February 16. February 8 about 3-4 hours morning Ucieka village residents were awakened by Polish soldiers banging on windows and doors. They beat the residents: Tadas Sinkevičius, Aleksandras Radeckis, Jonas Baltuškonis, and old man Jovaiša, when they found the Jews who had spent the night, they beat them and robbed them. After breaking into the home of teacher J. Bloznelis, 3 armed Polish soldiers dragged him out of bed, drove him out, took him across the demarcation line, tortured him and killed him with a shot to the head near the village of Žiogeliai. The teacher's body was buried under the Nemunas ice. In the spring of the same year, the Nemunas current washed away Mr. Bloznel's body near Alytus, where he was buried.
