In the village of Valiūnai, in the Novapolska farmstead, on 03/06/1951, during the fighting with the surrounded MGB of the Alytus district. 4 partisans of the Margis patrimony of the Dzūki district of the Dainava district were killed by the operative group of the division: platoon leader Juozas Laukaitis-Liūtas, g. 1927, Alfonsas Gervickas-Rytas, b. 1931, Eugenija Jogėlaitė (Kovienė)-Genė, b. 1927, Juozas Paukštys-Viesulas, b. 1929, as well as 2 partisans of the Geležinis Vilkas homeland: Deputy Chief of Staff of Dainava District Česlovas Sipavičius-Vasaris, g. 1929, Jonas Milišauskas-Kotas, b. 1932, homestead owner, partisan supporter Bolius Novapolskas, g. in 1932
