Tomas Norus-Naruševičius , a Lithuanian engineer, diplomat, politician and public figure, was born in Daugirdai village, Krokialaukis county, Alytus county. Died in 1927 September 16 Kaunas, buried in Krokialaukis cemetery in Alytus district.
Tomas Norus-Naruševičius in 1919 was the Lithuanian representative of the USA at the Paris Peace Conference in 1920. Member of the Lithuanian delegation at the meetings of the League of Nations, head of the delegation for peace negotiations with Soviet Russia, 1921. Member of the delegation of Lithuanian negotiations with Poland in Brussels, mediated by the League of Nations and the Entente states, in 1922. - member of the delegation at the Genoa Conference. 1921-1923 Lithuanian envoy in London. 1923-1924 Minister of Communications of Lithuania. Chairman of the Klaipėda Port Board (1925-1927) and Chairman of the Lithuanian Maritime Society (1925).
